TechLobby Report on AI Lobbying
Our TechLobby Report on Lobbying about AI provides an overview of AI lobbying trends in Canada, drawing on data provided by the Registry of Lobbyists. It finds that although there are a broad range of industry actors engaged in AI lobbying in Canada, lobbying activity is primarily driven by the private sector. The report was written on June 9, 2026 and reflects data up to that date.
Interactive Dashboard
The interactive dashboard below is the basis for our TechLobby AI Lobbying report and draws data from the Canadian Federal Lobbying Registry published by the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying.
There are various visualizations and tables. Use the left and right chevrons at the bottom of the dashboard to scroll through the visualizations and tables.
Right click on a graph segment to “drill through” to more information. For example, drill through to Table 1 for organization and industry details, or to Table 3 for the officials who were lobbied, or to Table 5 for the full details of all the lobbying communications referenced.
For a larger view, click the button in the bottom right to go full screen.
Use the “clear filters” button in the upper right to clear any drilldown filters, and the slider to adjust dates.
